Many Motors — Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how [[LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME]] (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Many Motors iOS application (“Many Motors”, “the app”). It is written for users in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. This is a practical description of how the app works today, not legal advice—please have it reviewed by a lawyer before you rely on it.

Who we are

Many Motors is operated by [[LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME]] (“Champion Apps” may be used as a trading or brand name).

Registered identifiers (if applicable): Australia ABN [[ABN_OR_NOT_APPLICABLE]]; New Zealand company or NZBN [[NZBN_OR_NOT_APPLICABLE]].

Privacy contact: [[PRIVACY_EMAIL]] (or support@championapps.net if you use a single inbox).

Scope

This policy applies to the Many Motors iOS app and our related support channels (for example when you email support).

Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit subscriptions), Google (Firebase, Google sign-in where offered, Google Mobile Ads), and other providers process information under their own policies when you use their services. We describe our use below; you should also review their privacy notices.

Information we collect

Account and profile: If you create an account, we collect identifiers and profile details needed to operate the service—for example email, display name, authentication provider (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password as implemented in the app), and a profile or avatar image if you add one. Account and profile data are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) and images may be stored in Firebase Storage.

Garage and vehicle data: Information you enter or sync in the app—such as vehicles, service and maintenance records, fuel or charging logs, odometer readings, reminders, and shared-garage membership—is stored in Firestore and processed by our backend (including Cloud Functions) to provide sync, sharing, and account features.

Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (for example feature usage and stability). Analytics may be associated with a Firebase user identifier when you are signed in.

Advertising and consent: On supported versions we may show ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) where required for consent, and on iOS we respect App Tracking Transparency (ATT) when asking to track across apps and websites. Ad-related identifiers and data may be collected by Google according to your choices and their policies.

Subscriptions: If you purchase a premium subscription, Apple processes payment and provides us subscription status through StoreKit; we do not receive your full payment card details.

Optional AI features: If you use features that send data to our servers for AI assistance, relevant text or context you provide (for example about a vehicle) may be sent to OpenAI’s API. If you use on-device Apple Intelligence features, processing may occur on your device as described by Apple—we do not receive that on-device processing output unless the app sends it to our systems as part of a feature you use.

Notifications: Reminders you set are delivered as local notifications on your device; we do not operate a separate remote push notification server for that flow as described here.

Technical data: Device type, operating system version, app version, diagnostics, and similar technical information as needed to run, secure, and improve the app.

We do not use the app to collect your precise location or your contacts list. If you attach photos, they are typically chosen through the system photo picker rather than a custom in-app camera flow.

How we use information

We use the information above to provide and improve Many Motors (including cloud sync and shared garages), authenticate users, show advertising on free tiers where applicable, measure product performance with analytics, deliver premium features via subscriptions, power optional AI assistance when enabled, schedule local reminders, respond to support requests, enforce our terms, detect abuse, and comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Where advertising partners process data for personalized ads, that is subject to your consent settings (UMP/ATT) and their policies.

Legal bases and consent (summary)

Australia and New Zealand: We collect and use personal information for the primary purpose of providing the app and related services, where you would reasonably expect that use, and as otherwise permitted under the Australian Privacy Act / Australian Privacy Principles and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

United States: We provide this notice and, where required by state law (including for certain tracking or “sale”/sharing concepts), we rely on your consent or offer opt-outs as applicable. California residents: see “Your rights” below.

Disclosure and subprocessors

We share information with service providers who assist us, including Google (Firebase, Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics, and Google Mobile Ads / UMP as applicable), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store, StoreKit, and on-device features), and OpenAI when you use server-based AI features that call their API.

These providers process data under their terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to read Google’s Privacy Policy, Firebase/Google Analytics documentation, Google’s policies for advertising and consent, Apple’s privacy materials, and OpenAI’s privacy policy as relevant.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable law.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where Australian APP 8 or New Zealand trans-Tasman or overseas disclosure rules apply, we rely on appropriate mechanisms and safeguards as required by law (for example your informed consent or contractual protections). Details may be updated if our arrangements change.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may be able to delete your account or certain data through in-app or account flows where we offer them. After deletion, residual copies may persist for a limited period in backups or logs. [[OPTIONAL_RETENTION_DETAIL]]

Your rights

Australia: You may request access to and correction of personal information we hold. You may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have mishandled your information.

New Zealand: You may request access to and correction of personal information. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand).

United States—California residents: You may have rights to know what personal information we collect, delete certain personal information, opt out of sale or sharing of personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising, where applicable), and limit use of sensitive personal information in some cases. You can exercise rights by contacting us; we will not discriminate for exercising these rights. Other US states may grant similar rights; contact us and we will respond in line with applicable law.

To exercise rights, contact [[PRIVACY_EMAIL]]. We may verify your request as permitted by law.

Children

Many Motors is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies in your jurisdiction for certain services). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group. If you believe we have done so, contact [[PRIVACY_EMAIL]] and we will take appropriate steps.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit for network communications where standard for the platform and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Third-party links and services

The app or our websites may contain links to third parties. Their practices are governed by their own policies; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Where required, we may provide additional notice (for example in the app).
